Viewed 22 times.The presidential candidate of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD), Hipólito Mejía, said yesterday that it will promote general access of the population to the Internet to reduce 70% of people without that resource that currently exists in the country.
Said that it will promote the competitiveness front "to the monopoly that exists with the submarine cables, which are those who provide services to telecommunications companies so that citizens have access to the Internet".
Also the Coordinator of the movement "Professionals of the telecommunication with dad" Hiddekel Morrison, said that Mejia would promote the use of technology as a support to the National Plan of development of the various areas of the productive sectors of the nation.
He said that the challenge of Mejía is achieve lower prices of services of telecommunications in the country, facing the tax sector issue and promoting competitiveness.

was on the other hand, Mejía sworn yesterday to the leader of the Social Christian Reformist Party (PRSC) and former Secretary of agriculture, Victor Hugo Hernandez (Tito), at his residence in St. Kitts.
