Hippolytus is supported by the Economist Ceara Hatton

Candidate by Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD), Hipólito Mejía, yesterday received the backing of the Economist Miguel Ceara Hatton, former director of the programme of human development of the programme of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the reformist Alderman Robert Matos.

Mejia, to acknowledge the support of both, he said that his candidacy are privileged with the addition of two personalities who, each in their workspace with society, have shown a strong attachment to moral and patriotic principles needed in administering public.

He said that both will be very useful in the design and development of public policies that will benefit from strong majorities, because they have a great respect in their respective areas of work.

Ceara Hatton is a renowned economist who directed the Center for economic research of the Caribbean and worked in the negotiations with the Caribbean region for u000aa free trade agreement with United States.

To announce their support for Mejia, Ceara Hatton criticized the construction of the Metro and the concentration of public investment in the capital, to the detriment of the provinces.

While Matos expressed that men have that occupy a space and decide which side are, and he chose the side of the PRD's candidate. He spoke in the presence of Mejía and Pedro Breton, reform-minded leader that he decided to support also the candidate of the PRD.
