Honored portal Central Bank

Portal of Internet of the Central Bank of Dominican Republic was recognized as "The best Web page of notes and coins of the year 2011", by International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA).

The award was received by the Vice-Governor of the institution, Clarissa de la Rocha, on the part of Gonzalo Santamarina, director for Latin America of the company Currency Research Inc., in an event held in the Office of the officer.

To receive the recognition, the Vice-Governor thanked the distinction and assured that that entity works every day with the satisfaction of providing explicit and transparent information on the handling of banknotes and coins, in accordance with the highest international standards. He said that the institution is committed to excellence and innovation.

Award was obtained by the Central Bank during the awards presentation of the quarter for excellence in money, IACA, being u000aselected among the more than 15 categories analyzed to be voted by the 242 members of the Association.

Each category was composed of three candidates, the Dominican Central Bank being the winner of "The best page Web of banknotes and coins".
