Honour granted to Bebecito Martinez

Executive authority yesterday granted the award of the order of Duarte, Sánchez and Mella, in the grade of Grand Cross silver plaque, to the engineer Bienvenido Martinez Brea (Bebecito), immortal of the Dominican Republic sport.
By Decree number 711-11, signed by President Leonel Fernández, recognize the merits accumulated by Martinez Brea.
In his first recital the presidential provision emphasizes "the high merits of engineer Bienvenido Martinez Brea (Bebecito), who from an early age had interest in sports, especially baseball, volleyball, boxing and gymnastics".
Achievements
the second of the three recitals indicates that he was a proponent of the national sport, through their participation in sports and in the promotion and support for the holding of sports events in the country and abroad, and that their healthy performances made him immortal sports Dominican, in the u000aCeremonial of October 1988.
The Decree said that Martinez Brea, as an engineer, had made great contributions to the sport infrastructure national.
