Hospital de Herrera will start multiple organ transplantation

Activities with a view to the start of this programme began with the swearing in of the Intra-hospitalario Committee of transplantation, consisting of the health centre, by the director of the National Institute of transplantation coordination (INCORT), Dr. Fernando Morales Billini.
. The Committee is chaired by the director-general of the hospital, Dr. Pedro a. Delgado Valdez and includes it doctors Clementina Gilleard Joseph, Isis Eusebio, Rafael González, Domingo Vasquez, Leonardo Padilla, Tony Hazim, Jesús Fernández Lajara Juan, José Antonio Pappaterra, José Manul Rodríguez Melo and Rafael De los Santos and the licensed Vivian really Patiño and Bertha of the cross.
Gilleard said the program should start with transplantation of kidney, liver, cornea and for next year's u000aheart, while to other possible bodies they would coordinate with other centres of health
Indicated that transplants will be from cadaveric donors, and pointed out that the hospital is able to generate that type of donor, also his hemodialysis unit has chronic patients which sometime will need a body, such as the kidney.
In turn, Celia Pérez said that in Dominican Republic every year around 1,700 new patients come into units of dialysis, and they need the donation altruistic kidney in order to restore their lives and join the society.
He noted the high blood pressure and diabetes as major diseases which can predispose renal failure chronic in an adult, and children the uropatías obstructive.
In this regard, the expert recommended to carry a proper diet, exercise, regular checks of the u000ablood pressure and take the treatment of persons suffering from hypertension.
