ILO says unemployment is an urgent challenge

Viewed 13 times.The world is facing "urgent challenge" create 600 millions of productive jobs over the next decade in order to generate sustainable growth and maintain social cohesion, according to the annual report on global employment of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
"After three years in which labour markets have faced continuing critical conditions, and with the prospect of a further deterioration of economic activity, unemployment affects 200 million people worldwide", argues the ILO in his report entitled "global trends in employment 2012: prevent one greater employment crisis".
The report argues that more than 400 million new jobs over the next decade to absorb the annual growth of the labour force, estimated at 40 million per year. will be needed
The report points out that the world faced an additional challenge: the create decent work for the u000aapproximately 900 millions of workers living with their families below the line of poverty of two dollars a day, most of them in countries in development
"Despite the efforts made by Governments, the crisis of employment does not diminish and one in three workers in the world are unemployed or living in poverty," said the director-general of the ILO, Juan Somavia.
