Inaugurated in Dr Global Film Festival V

The Dominican Republic are viewing as a destination cinematográfi co, giving it a new positioning international for the investment.

So said President Leonel Fernandez, prior to leaving opened the 5th Global Film Festival, which brings together a constellation of stars international.

The President, who arrived accompanied by First Lady Margarita Cedeño de Fernández, announced that you as a sign of the time lives the Dominican Republic in the film, next year could shoot in the country of four to five movies, which evidence the projection of the country in the industry cinematográfi ca.

During the activity, the President was accompanied by first lady of the Republic, Dr. Margarita Cedeño de Fernández.

The gala began with the film "Checkmate" of young Dominican filmmaker, José María Cabral, and took place in the National Theater Piantini Carlos room.

for this occasion the public will have at your disposal 87 films, 14 documentaries and 25 short films, which the u000apublic can enjoy until next Sunday in the regional universities of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo of Higu¨ey Nagua, Puerto Plata and Santiago.

Last night were recognized actress Geraldine Chaplin, actor Danny Glover, Dominican singer/songwriter Rafael Solano, film director Agliberto Meléndez and Dominican actor Juan Fernandez.
