International chiropractor group begins work in Puerto Plata
posted on: May 21 2010 8:43 by Royston. Viewed 486 times.A team of chiropractors from the U.S., Canada and Australia, The Chiro Mission Foundation, has made its services available in fifteen communities in the province of Puerto Plata.
The group led by JC Doornicle and Todd Herold made a presentation to Sister Teodora Yolanda Ferrereiras on Thursday during a news conference at the headquarters of the charity Centro Diocesano de Medicamentos San Felipe run by Kathy Morillo.
During the ceremony, Sister Teodora received a check for US$5,000 to contribute to the work of the charity. She thanked the 30 chiropractors who provided their resources and used the occasion to invite the people of Puerto Plata to make use of the services being offered.
Dr. Todd Herold said they felt honored to work with Sister Theodora, whom he described as an incredible person who motivates them to fulfill their mission of love and dedication for Dominicans.
The Chiro Mission will be working in Ricardo Limardo hospital as well as Las Avispas, Los Cacaos, Los Tejada, Cam, San Pi, Ro Grande, Altamira,, Mirador Sur, Cristo Rey, Colina del Sur, La Viara, Nuevo Renacer, San Antonio Mara Claret, San Jos, Perpetuo Socorro, La Altagracia and other communities.
Guillermo Caiat said at the press conference that Chiro Mission Foundation has donated approximately US$35,000 to Centro Diocesano de Medicamentos San Felipe since they began their relationship with the charity eight years ago.
