Italian kidnap victim released

Viewed 542 times.The Italian businessman who was kidnapped at gunpoint on Wednesday night was found alive and well on Friday in the Estorga area of Guerra, Boca Chica on Friday. According to the police report, Federico Dalmaso was abandoned there about 4:00pm and later picked up by police.
In a statement, the victim said, "they treated me well, even gave me food and cigarettes, I even bathed. I do not want to talk about rescue . I was kept hooded all the time, so I could not see their faces." He was unable to offer police any clues as to where he had been held.
Police have identified the kidnappers as; Luis Miguel Feliz Cuevas (El Gordo), Miguel Angel Matos (Bitefey), and also two men known as Deivi and Guiro. They say the crime was orchestrated by an inmate of La Victoria prison, identified only as Denis.
No details have been released about whether any money was paid to secure the release, but Police did say that a ransom of RD$1.5 million had been demanded.
Dalmaso has bullet wounds in his left hand but doctors have declared him to be in good health after his ordeal.
