The first day of strike by pilots of the Spanish company Iberia passed yesterday with normality, with the implementation of planned services flights minima.

Until 6 p.m. local time (1700 GMT) had been 60% of the 195 flights planned for today, after being cancelled 91 and relocated 12,000 passengers.

Both Iberia as the Sepla Union agreed on the absolute normalcy with which spent the first day of a strike have called pilots, also on December 29, to protest the creation of a subsidiary of low-cost, Iberia Express.

The pilots Union criticizes the formation of Iberia Express, which will begin operating from March 2012 flights of short and medium radio, because it violates their collective agreement, if not to segregate the activity of the company.
