JCE finds ballot with more votes than voters

Viewed 311 times.The Arbitration Chamber of the Central Electoral Board (JCE ) has set aside part of election record 076 at congressional level in the municipality of Rancho Arriba in Ocoa. They found that a greater number of votes had been recorded than there were voters registered to vote.
With resolution 450-2010 the court upheld an appeal brought by Pedro Alegra, the senator candidate from the province of San Jos de Ocoa, and ordered the examination of invalid ballots cast at several polling stations in the municipality of Rancho Arriba, in that province.
But by the same resolution, it rejected other appeals filed by the candidate against the electoral decisions of the municipalities of San Jose de Ocoa , Rancho Arriba, and Sabana Larga. The judges said they had found no irregularities in these other cases and dismissed them.
