Jorge Posada had offers; but in time he opted for retirement

Had offers from other clubs on the table, but Jorge Posada never took them seriously. He just completed his 17th. season with the New York Yankees, Posada understood that appropriate was retiring with the only team that had throughout an illustrious career in the major leagues.
