Judges will meet three requests for extradition

The new judges of the second Chamber of the Supreme Court will decide this month on three requests for extradition made by United States against equal number of persons accused of drug trafficking and laundering of assets.

Cases which will be known as Oscar Ezequiel Rodriguez Cruz, José Antonio Contreras Reyes (Pepe) and the mechanic of plane Miguel Antonio Rosa Ureña (CAT), all detained in a pavilion of the Najayo prison extraditables

Applications will be known by the judges Miriam Germán Brito, who presides over the Court, Esther Agelán Casasnovas, John Hiroíto Kings Cross, Frank Soto Sánchez and Alejandro Moscoso Segarra.

requests were made by the Department of extradition of the Attorney General of the Republic, which coordinates the Deputy Government Procurator, Gisela Cueto González, and counsel of the Embassy of United States in the country, Analdis Alcantara Abreu.

By January 11, u000a10: 00 a.m., is the request for extradition of Rodriguez Cruz, whose audience was postponed by the previous judges of that Court, to give opportunity to Leopoldo Francisco Núñez, the new lawyer of the accused, consider the file.

By January 18, second room will also meet requests for the extradition of Contreras Reyes and Rosa Ureña, whose hearings had been postponed, welcoming a pediment of the defence to study about documents sent by the Embassy American.

Cruz Rodriguez is claimed by the Government of United States to be tried by a court in Boston, U.k..

Rodriguez Cruz is the President of the movement "new revival with dad", which supports the Hipólito Mejía, presidential candidacy and whose arrest has generated a debate about the funds they receive candidates from different political parties to finance the campaign election.

and u000aRosa Ureña are claimed by the US, accused of being part of a network of drug traffickers Colombians, Venezuelans, and Lebanese.
