Leaders inaugurate the Celac in Caracas

Thirty heads of State and Government inaugurated yesterday in Caracas Summit constituent community of Latin American countries and Caribbean (CELAC), which was created as the "seed of the new America", said the President of Mexico, Felipe Calderón, in whose country the project in 2010 is gelled.

"This is the Decade of Latin America", according to Calderon, in charge of opening the III Summit of Latin America and the Caribbean for integration and development (CALC) in the Venezuelan capital, chosen to give birth Saturday to a new mechanism of integration which excludes United States and Canada.
