Leonel appreciates the CELAC as regional agency role

Leonel Fernández, stated in this city that the meeting of 33 heads of State and Government for the formation of the community of Latin American countries and Caribbean (CELAC), is a regional response based on solidarity and cooperation with all the uncertainty which hangs within global.
In an interview with the Venezuelan network Telesur, the Dominican State Chief supported the proposal for the adoption of a financial architecture regional.
Fernández explained that before the lack of leadership at the level of the G-20, the CELAC, must play a leading role for the implementation of public policies for the protection in the areas of economic, political, social and environmental.
Dominican representative reiterated that a regional financial architecture by 33 countries comprising the CELAC, allows regional and subregional governments access to solvency and u000aliquidity to ensure trade inside.
"A financial architecture adopted by our countries becomes a motor that will cause the economic growth and stability, as well as the good behaviour of macroeconomic indicators", said Fernandez.
He expressed his confidence and optimism about the future of the CELAC, specifically of what would be more later as policies regional.
With respect to the adoption in future of a single regional currency, Fernandez felt that there was an option which should not be dismissed, "but this has it be seen with the caution that merit the circumstances".
He noted that the crisis of Europe brings a great lesson that action be taken with caution, because a common when at the same time monetary policy is not enough, apply tax policies different.
