London calls for investigation of possible irregularities in Russian election

"The quality of the election process deteriorated considerably during the scrutiny, which was characterized by frequent violations of procedure and cases of apparent manipulation, including serious indications of mass introduction of ballots at the polls", says the report.
According to the official count, Russia United (UK), the Party of Vladimir Putin, won an absolute majority in the Duma or lower House of Russian Parliament with 49.3 percent of the votes or 238 seats, 77 less than four years ago.
