Lula is shaves his beard and hair before chemotherapy effects

The former Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva shaved the beard and head in anticipation of the fall of the hair that will suffer as a result of chemotherapy which began on October 31 against cancer of the larynx, yesterday informed the Institute that bears his name.

Lula, of 66 years, received on 29 October a diagnosis of laryngeal cancer and two days later began treatment with chemotherapy in the Lebanese Syrian Hospital of Sao Paulo, where it was discovered the disease.
Former President remained only a few hours in u000athe hospital and then detained in his apartment in Sao Bernardo do Campo, neighboring city of Sao Paulo, where he has continued with the treatment.
At his residence, Lula has received since the visit of several politicians Brazilian, among them the President Dilma Rousseff, his successor.
Rousseff, who also tried a lymphatic cancer in Syrian Lebanese when it was still Minister of Lula, in the year 2009, visited him last November 10 and said then that the exmandatario "is all very well".
Rousseff was accompanied on that occasion by the Minister of health, Brazilian Alexandre Padilha.

Medical team ruled out surgery done by the intermediate stage of the tumor and found that the likelihood of cure is u000ahigh, given that the cancer is located and there has been no metastasis.
