Mariano Germán, new President of the Supreme

After a long session of work, the National Council of the judiciary gave the names of the new judges comprising the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) which will be chaired by Dr. Mariano Germán.

At the meeting led by President Leonel Fernández and where all the members of the NJC, were present were also chosen Julio César Castaños as first judge substitute of the President and Mirian Germán Brito, judge second substitute of the President.

They were also appointed judges of the SCJ Esther Agelán Casasnovas, José Alberto Crucceta, Martha Olga García, Sarah Henríquez, Ramón Herrera Carbuccia, Francisco Jerez Mena, Robert Placencia, Juan Hiroito Reyes, Alejandro Moscoso Segarra and Frank Soto.

The Minister of the Presidency, César Pina Toribio explained that they were ratified as a member of the SCJ Jorge Subero Isa, who plan not accepted; Victor Jose Castellanos, Edgar u000aHernández and Dulce Rodríguez of Goris.

Other
decisions Pina Toribio said that CNM also met the resignation of the Deputy Judge of the Tribunal Superior Electoral (TSE), Alfredo González and instead chose to Emilio Narciso count Rubio.

The official reported that each of the judges appointed by the NJC will be as the next Tuesday 27 of December.

While the respective taking of position will be held on Wednesday 28th of this month.

Sessions throughout the process of evaluations that began the August 11 this year, were assessed 80 candidates for the Tribunal constitutional (TC), 81 to the Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE) and 95 to the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ).

SUBERO that decision is subject POLITICIAN
the doctor Jorge Subero Isa not agreed last night to remain judge of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), charge that was ratified by the National Council of the u000aMagistrates (CNM), but deposing of the Presidency of the institution.

He said that it doesn't feel disappointed because they understand that they are political, but it was considered that the current SCJ was "dismantled" in great measure.

"Obviously I did not accepted the position because under no circumstances I cannot accept to be where I was for 14 years President, to move to a secondary position", said.

Said President Leonel Fernandez treated him with much appreciation on a personal level. His only complaint is that it should send a signal other than the one given up to this moment.

Off face expressed President Leonel Fernandez gave explanations of why they let him as judge of the SCJ, but not as President of the High Court. He said that they ratified by seven years.

was born in Santo Domingo on April 8, 1955. He was President of the Central Electoral Board. A scholar of law and writer is MIRIAN GERMÁN Court appeal of the DN born 8 December 1948 in la loma Las lira, of the Jayabo of Salcedo place. He is the Chairman of the House criminal of the Court of appeal DN.
