Martinelli abides by the decision and Panama returns to Parlacen

Viewed 12 times.The President of Panama, Ricardo Martinelli, informed yesterday to the President of the Central American Parliament (Parlacen), the Dominican Manolo Pichardo, his resolution to abide by the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice Panamanian which declared unconstitutional the departure from the country of another regional body.
Martinelli and Pichardo gathered at the Presidential Palace of the herons and defined the admission of members which still do not have sworn at the Parlacen and the way in which Panama resumed its commitments with the entity of which they are part Guatemala, Nicaragua, el Salvador, Honduras and Dominican Republic, and featuring Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Taiwan as observers.
Pichardo described the ruling as "an action that strengthens the process of regional integration and consolidating Community law as a contract which defines clearly the rules of the game that give transparency to our unifying March".
Hailed the attitude of the u000a"President Martinelli, considering that it wins the respect not only of his people, but the Parlacen and the regional community which is betting the integration, aware that is the ideal instrument for development".
Manolo Pichardo reiterated that the Parlacen is a body which, according to the new Protocol of amendments to the Treaty establishing, is heading to be the axis around which turn the process of integration, with proposals and actions that impact positively on the lives of all citizens of the region, regardless of their position, and socioeconomic level.
