The access road to Costambar is to be re-built by the city of Puerto Plata announced the Mayor Walter Musa this week..

Before starting the road construction, a new storm drain will have to be installed. Musa recalled that the street had been paved several times in the past but had always been damaged again by storm water.

A thorough study had now been completed of the area to determine the best route for excess storm water to avoid repeating previous problems.

He asked for patience while engineering works were carried out, expressing his desire to ensure the quality of the finished project.
