Mayors of the LDP decided to support PRSC in the League

The Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) decided yesterday to support Johnny Jones, of the Social Christian Reformist Party (PRSC), so that it occupies the General Secretariat of the Dominican Municipal League (LMD).

The decision was taken during an Assembly that led President Leonel Fernandez all the mayors of the LDP and the main authorities of this political organization, the Club of the Superintendencia de Seguros, located in Manoguayabo.

In all, the LDP has an enrollment of 78 trustees more Allied five, for a total of 83 mayors nationwide, of whom 79 attended the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, which lasted for two hours, in charge of Municipal Affairs of the LDP, Ignacio Ditrén, explained that the PRSC informed him that he had chosen to Jones to apply it to the General Secretariat of the LMD and LDP decided to support it.

The announcement of the PRD occurs once in the afternoon the PLD and the PRSC formalize an Alliance in order to Jones as the new Secretary general to be elected in the general Assembly of next day 26 municipalities. The country boasts 155 mayors, of which the LDP and allies have 83, the PRD has 55 and PRSC 14.
