Medina reiterates its support to 4% of GDP for education

Viewed 15 times.The presidential candidate of the Party of the liberation Dominicana (PLD), Danilo Medina, said yesterday that the only crime-rate reduction is possible to improve the quality of teaching in public schools and raising the capacity of purchase and consumption of citizens.
Hence its proposal of allocating, starting in 2013, 4% of the gross domestic product (GDP) to the education sector, the creation of a single batch of eight hours of teaching and a pact with the forces of the nation to form a new generation of bachelors.
This implies, moreover, improve the wages and working conditions of the master, to encourage the best talent to join the universities to study pedagogy, said Medina.
Medina spoke at a gala dinner of the external sector to support his candidacy in this province, coordinated by Juan Octavio Ceballos, former Secretary of health public.
Also was attended by Senator Amilcar u000aRomero, and the deputies Juan Comprés, Juan José Rosario and Lupe Núñez, as well as light Selena silver, Governor.
