Members and producers in favour to pass law protecting national production

Núñez and u000aPelegrín Castillo explained that the project complies with all requirements established by international legal frameworks agreed by the country with the free trade agreement signed with Central America and the United States, the General Agreement on tariffs and trade (GATT); Agreement on Agriculture of the World Trade Organization (WTO), as well as programmes of subsidies and food aid from the common policy of the European Union, Cap, among others.
Explained that this law will particularly apply to goods or services procured by the Dominican State, any of its levels or institutions. Also, in programs related to food, promoting agriculture, school feeding, among others.

Laura Castellanos, representative of Dominicans pharmaceutical industries (Infadomi), said that that entity supports the work done by the Chamber of Deputies and the members of the u000aCommission for his work for the rescue of a market that corresponds to the domestic producers, on the understanding that the project is very valuable for industry national.
