German Chancellor Angela Merkel said yesterday Monday in Paris his political support the future candidate for the French Presidency Nicolas Sarkozy, during a Franco-German Council of Ministers, in which both pressured Greece to conclude the negotiations on their debt.
At the end of the meeting that traditionally opens the Council of the two Governments, Merkel gave to the press an electoral support expected by the French Head of State, who polls give loser in the upcoming presidential election when there are less than 80 days for the first round.
