To a large extent this book on Franklin Mieses Burgos has a precedent in a small book published by Di Pietro in 1998, entitled Joaquín Balaguer, without praise or condemnation.
If the cited study on Balaguer, Di Pietro came to prove that the author of "The carpenters" could be considered as a poet, in the case of Franklin Mieses Burgos such proof is clearly unnecessary. Goes without saying the poetic quality of the work of Mieses Burgos.
Of this premise starting three studies which enshrines it Giovanni Di Pietro to the scenic poems of Mieses Burgos; no doubt the plot less known and treated his poetry, possibly due to the minor character that usually assigned. Di Pietro demonstrates, however, that "the hero", "the city. u000a"ineffable" and "Meda", compared to the remaining titles of Mieses Burgos, not River in quality and depth. And behold, in my opinion, the most important contribution of this booklet
It comes to attest to the growing interest which has given rise in recent years the poetry of Franklin Mieses Burgos, master at least two generations of Dominican poets; interest that materialized with the recent publication of his complete works and the dedication of the international book fair of Santo Domingo 2007 to his memory and lyrical work.
Can trust all this activity bibliographic and critical attention to the impact and dissemination that the high building in Franklin Mieses Burgos deserves its own right. Hopefully it can be to the end overwhelm the closed Island area which until now has remained inexplicably locked up. Would thereby a boon and an indelible asset to the letters of the American Hispanic.
