Minister of education sees positive their management at the end of the year

The Minister of education, Josefina Pimentel, expressed his satisfaction because during the year ending has been able to realize many of the aspirations that had to initiate its management to the Ministry of education (MINERD), last March.

Similarly, expressed her gratitude to his closest aides, members of the National Council of education (CNE) and the actors of the educational system (teachers, students, technicians and support personnel and management), support and responsiveness to its initiatives.

He also thanked the press interest in the educational field and the wide coverage to the activities of the MINERD, and society as a whole since it has been open to working with the institution to achieve an improvement in the quality of all components that affect education public.

Between the achievements highlighted delivery to the communities of 53 new schools in the past six months, the u000arapprochement with various companies and public and private institutions to conclude agreements to support education and institutional strengthening, and the improvement of the quality and the implementation of a system of monitoring and quality assurance of the program of school food (PAE).

However, the degree Pimentel clarified that these achievements are only part that has been proposed during its management, so it will continue to work with his team, for other achievements for the benefit of education.

Also stated its appreciation, in particular, to President Leonel Fernandez Reyna, for their invaluable support to education and specified that proof of this has been the increase in the budget for the sector, of 15 billion dollars in 2004 to 43 billion in 2011, which means an increase of 500 percent in seven years.

Stressed that next January will be initiated a project called to positively transform the philosophy of work and management in schools, which is the school's directors. He also stressed the continuation of the process of revision of the existing curriculum, with a view to updating and strengthening, which is expected to conclude in the first quarter of 2012.

"These actions aimed at improving the teaching quality of the contents, physical and environmental conditions of schools, among many others which lie ahead are a stimulus to continue working with enthusiasm at the start of a new year," expressed.
