MLB chose David Ortiz better appointed 2011

The Major League Baseball announced that the slugger of the Boston Red Sox David Ortiz has won the award Edgar Martinez as the best hitter appointed 2011.
The Dominican hit this year to.309 with 29 home runs and 96 remolcadas in 146 games for the Red Sox. This is the sixth time that Ortiz conquest award in his career, which happened to the own Martínez, whose award was named in his honor after the 2004 campaign.
The former recipient of the Red Sox, Víctor Martínez finished second in the voting with Billy Butler, of Kansas City completed in the third position.
