In the speech that the new Prime Minister illustrated his programme of Government, Monti said that Europe is the most difficult moments since World War II and recalled the need to accelerate reforms in Italy "because the more later raised, will arrive later benefits".
"The end of the euro disgregaría the single market and retrocedería to Europe in the 1950s, but this crisis has to be overcome with actions at European level," said Monti, who also pointed out that "the future of the euro depends on not only what does Italy in the next few days".
