More than 500,000 new jobs in 6 years

Of that amount , 130,440 were created since October 2009. The figures were released by the Central Bank in a National Survey of Labour Force.
Banco Central Governor, Hector Valdez Albizu, commenting on the report, said the figures demonstrated the growth and stability of the economy which has now seen the unemployment rate reduced in one year from 14.9 % to 14.4 %.
He described the creation of more than half a million jobs in six years as a great accomplishment.
