More than 600 school principals will be trained
posted on: Dec 29 2011 12:34 by RDugey. Viewed 15 times.The Ministry of education will give formal opening on 17 January the school of Directors which will train some 600 teachers who run schools, as part of the plan of action that will execute the education portfolio year starter.
The classes will be face-to-face and each module is taught 16 hours of instruction per month, which will be carried out by experts from Dominican Republic, including universities the Intec, and international, which quoted Harvard and Barcelona.
The program will include seven modules, such as: management and quality of education supervision and educational assessment participation and institutional development; educational leadership; resource management; management of information and education in values. The school of Directors was created on 2 September last by resolution number 0667-2001, signed by the Minister of education, Josefina Pimentel, and will be attached to the higher Institute of u000aTraining teacher Salomé Ureña (Isfodosu).
The agency focused on lifelong learning and professional development programmes and its opening will coincide with the start of its certification program in management of quality.
Work of the school, in charge of the Department of evaluation and technical supervision, will begin with a group of 120 directors, 30 for each of the four sites in the Isfodosu, initially participating in the program.
In April a second group of 200 and in September comes 300 students more.
