This was reported by the hospital's director, Héctor Quezada, who explained that of these 920, only two died; one from injuries relating to a traffic accident and the other from a gunshot wound.
Of the total people who attended the center, 219 were admitted.
Quezada said that the hospital treated 34 people from gunshot wounds, 44 from knife wounds and accidents, and 266 from accidents of which 174 were for from motorcycles and 92 from car accidents. 576 other people were treated for various reasons, not specified by the medical center.
Quezada said that there was an increase of knife wound injuries compared to last year where there were a total of 28 cases.
He also detailed the days when there were more patients attending; 138 cases on Saturday and 91 on Sunday.
The doctor encouraged all to keep up with the work and supporting education to prevent future unfortunate events.
On another note, Quezada maintains a cautious prognosis for the 14 year old son of the Mayor of Neyba, Orlando Gómez, who has been at the medical center since last Saturday after an accident which killed his mother and sister.
