More than four thousand people take part in operation on the day of the Virgin of la Altagracia

A total of four thousand 21 people will form part of the team that deployed the Centre operations of emergency (COE), on the occasion of the day of the Virgin of la Altagracia, to be held this Saturday, January 21.
The operation aims to prevent and respond adequately emergencies that arise during the movement of people towards the Higüey Basilica.
The implementation of the operative part will consist of two devices, one of road safety and another hospital.
According to the explanations provided by the director of the center of operations of emergency (COE), general Juan Manuel Méndez, road safety device has 60 posts emergency on roads and highways in the region, and another 12 in the Duarte Highway and in the November 6.
Press Conference at the headquarters of the COE, Mendez explained that measures will also include the distribution of 30 units of ambulances in points u000acritics and a helicopter that will cover this area, to address any situation that arises.
Said that inside the perimeter of the Basilica of Higuey will install a prehospitalario device consisting of the installation of a command post for the coordination and shots of decisions, as well as two doctors, two hospitals in campaign and a Centre for people missing.
The operation, which will begin tomorrow Friday at 12: 00 noon and will conclude Saturday 21 at 8: 00 pm, will be held in coordination with the administrative Ministry of the Presidency, the direction of press and publicity of the Presidency, the ministries of health, the armed forces, national police, the metropolitan authority of Transporte (AMET), Red Cross, the Fire Department, among others.
Méndez called citizens moving eastward to take the necessary preventive measures u000ato avoid accidents. Urged to put the belt and engine drivers not ride more than one person at the rear and driving with prudence.
