National Police arrested man who sought to redeem 9 false cheques in US dollars

Agents of the preventive police, attached to the Directorate Regional Santo Domingo East, yesterday arrested a man attempting to redeem nine cheques forged in a bank branch of the commercial square Megacentro, of the Avenue San Vicente de Paúl, road corner Mella, in Santo Domingo Este.
The detainee was identified as Juan war Mejía, resident in the Rosa Duarte street number 156, Los Mina.
According to the institution of the order, Guerra Mejía was surprised by the safety of the Bank as he was redeemed the counterfeit cheques amounting to $4,500.
While officers of the Department of forgeries of the institution deepen investigations for determining if Guerra Mejía acts in collusion with others, in order to apprehend them and bring them to justice.
The detainee will be brought to justice in the next few hours for the purposes relevant.
