Nestle says it increases number of suppliers of milk in the country

In 2011, the company added four new centres of milk cooling, for a total of 36 stations collecting associative.
Diego Blanco Genao, Manager of institutional relations, reported that the new centres are Aprocalesi, in San José las Matas, which began with 3,500 litres of milk daily inter, produced by 13 farmers and has a capacity to 6,400 liters; of the CAP, Dajabón province, which started with 3,500 litres daily and 36 livestock farmers, with a capacity of 6,000 litres.
Other centres were of Hato del Medio, in Monte Cristi, with 1,300 litres a day generated by 22 farmers, to whom the Conaleche financed the equipment supplied by Nestlé, among these a freezer of 4,000 litres and a plant u000aElectric 30 kilos. This Center has a capacity to 4,000 litres and the collection center of Santa María milk with 750 litres a day and 15 livestock farmers, with a team capable of cool 9,000 litres.
"We must be noted that at the beginning of 2011 we had 1,119 ranchers and today have 1,516 for a growth of 35%, being the company with the highest number of suppliers of milk in the country," said White.
These actions seek to ensure a supply of fresh milk for the San Francisco de Macorís, Nestlé factory whose main product is the milk Evaporada Carnation.
