New Extreme Sports Park Now in Samaná

The Pirate Adventure Park, located in Samaná, on the northeast corner of the Dominican Republic, is the country’s latest addition to its extreme sports options.

The park’s main attraction is a Zip-Line, with 12 platforms connected by steel cables.  The first platform is inspired by a pirate ship which is located some 1,000 meters from the second platform and approximately four hundred feet above ground.

From this altitude enthusiasts will be able to observe, in all its glory, a nearby tropical forest found in the surrounding mountains.

The park is situated in “Valle,” a rural community situated in Samaná province, on the country’s northeast corner.

Visitors to the park must climb aboard a safari truck which will take them on a bumpy road through a lush tropical forest.

The tour includes a visit to a local farmhouse where visitors will enjoy a cup of freshly prepared chocolate, organic coffee or enjoy a “mamajuana” drink, a local drink made with rum and aromatic roots.

The day-trip is run and supervised by experienced guides, which will accompany the visitors throughout the trip.

The zip-line adventure includes helmets and other safety features and equipment that will help the visitor get their adrenaline going.
