New laser technology to operate cataract

The newest technology to perform cataract laser surgery is installed in the country in the Laser Centre Foundation, which allows to perform this procedure with the greater certainty, speed and quality of results.

The technique developed in the country by two Dominican doctors and one American, placing Dominican Republic in the first nation in Latin America in that system for cataract surgery with laser company OptiMedica.

New femtosecond laser technology involved five of the nine steps of cataract surgery the surgeon's hand touch the eye, in just two minutes, and medium.

Recalled that he and Dr. Batlle had developed other technologies in the field of treatment that are used successfully in the field of ophthalmology.
