November inflation remained at 0.09%

Viewed 16 times.The Central Bank reported that November inflation, as measured by the variation of the price index to the consumer (IPC), was of 0.09%, which ranked accumulated inflation for the period enero-noviembre 7.64%. Inflation in the last twelve months (November 2010 – November 2011), reached 8.63%.
The report points out that the cumulative underlying inflation registered a variation of 5.05%, whereas the annualized underlying was 5.33%. This indicator measures the inflationary trend of origin monetary, isolating the effects of shocks by exogenous factors to monetary price.
Played a role according to the CB, the low level of inflation did the fall of - 0.50% of the index in the Group food and non-alcoholic beverages, which by its high weighting in the basket of goods and services, partially offset increases verified in the group transport to grow 0.52% in October.
This variation responds to the fall u000aprice registered in high consumer as: fresh chicken (- 5.50%), plantains (- 4.41%), cassava (- 5.33%) and peppers (- 6.24 per cent), among other products.
