Open Congress on migration

Yesterday was inaugurated in Dominican Republic the Regional Conference on migration, whose mission is to advance towards positions of work common meeting the challenges of global migration as well as strengthening cooperation regional.

This time the country is President pro tempore, represented by the Ministry of Interior and police, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Directorate General of migration.

Within the Group of activities that took place were the workshop programs for temporary foreign workers and several cross-sectoral forums, with approaches that focused on intraregional labour migration and the diagnostic report on the actual situation of the regional migration. For today, when concluded important conclave, Dominican Republic must surrender the Pró tempore presidency to the Government of Panama, which according to the established will be the responsible for giving continuity to the work and u000aagreements of meetings this year.

Washington González, Deputy Minister of Interior and police, and who represented Minister José Ramón Fadul said that the Regional Conference on migration, or Puebla process, proper through the Regional network of civil organizations is held in the country for the third time.
