Ordered extradition of the accused "Toño firewood"

The second room criminal of the Supreme Court yesterday ordered the extradition of Ramon Antonio Rosario bridge "Toño firewood", claimed by United States to be tried for drug trafficking in that nation.

Judges Hugo Alvarez Valencia, who presides over the Court, Victor Jose Castellanos and Edgar Hernandez, declared has place extradition to United States, with regard to what is established in the Act of indictment registered on June 16, 2010 in the Court of the United States District, Puerto Rico district.

In addition, the Court ordered the provisional seizure of the goods and values listed in the name of the person sought in extradition, as well as in charge of the Attorney-General processing and execution of the decision.

In the statement, 85 pages, copy of which has LISTÍN DIARIO, the judges argue that executive power should manage the American authorities that u000ain any case it is imposed the death penalty or life in prison to "Toño firewood". The judges took the decision after hosting a request made by the lawyer of the Embassy of United States, Anardy Alcantara, and by the Director of the Department of extradition of the Attorney General of the Republic, Gisela Cueto González.

The judgement was read in the absence of Toño wood, who is detained in the Pavilion of extraditables Najayo, San Cristobal province prison. The law establishes that the presence of the claimed in extradition is not necessary.

The request for the extradition of "Toño firewood" served a year in that Court since the start the first hearing on November 23 last year. The case was postponed on ten occasions.
