“Casa de Campo” Distinguished as Best Golf Resort

The world renowned “Casa de Campo” tourism resort was recently distinguished, for the fifth consecutive year, as “Golf Resort Leader in the World,” by the World Travel Awards 2012.
The award was presented during a ceremony in Doha, Qatar. This unique resort features four world-class golf courses, a cruise port, a marina as well as other sports facilities
The president and CEO of Premier Resorts & Hotels, Claudio Silvestri, received the trophy. Premier Resorts & Hotels manages the resort, situated in the city of La Romana, on the country’s eastern region.
Silvestri said that “…with more than 32,000 golf courses around the world, it is a great honor that “Casa de Campo” – for a fifth year consecutive year - has been recognized as the leading golf resort in the world.
The award is given after more than 185,000 international tourism industry professionals voted their preferences. The exclusive resort features four golf courses, a cruise port, a marina, as well as a variety of sports activities.
