Peruvian drugs carrier arrested at Las Americas

The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) arrested a Peruvian on Tuesday as he arrived at Las Americas airport carrying a large quantity of cocaine.

Felix Marcelo Pinedo Vasquez, who arrived on a Copa Airlines flight via Panama, was arrested after a routine search at Customs initially turned up 17 condoms filled with liquid cocaine strapped to his legs. He was then taken to the Central Hospital of the Armed Forces where a further three condoms were found strapped to his crotch. After being X-Rayed, it was discovered he had swallowed a further 18.

The information was given a report by DNCD spokesman, Colonel Ramon Alcides Rodr�guez Veras.
