PHD proclaims Mejia candidate for Presidency

Dominican Humanist Party (PHD) proclaimed yesterday Hipólito Mejía as its presidential candidate for elections in May next year, within the framework of its special Convention IV.

Eléxido Paula, PHD President, was sworn in to Mejía in the presence of 1,164, representatives of more than 100 municipal and district committees of the national territory and stated that "this is an event without precedent in our favour history".
