Paredes made his statements while inspecting the work of an integrated school under the "Schools of the Future" plan. The school is being built near Cambita Sterling, San Cristobal.
The official said the government, by order of President Leonel Fernandez had discussed with the Haitian authorities the possibility of young people from the neighboring country studying in Jiman and other border provinces, so they do not suffer delays in their studies after the destruction of schools in the earthquake of 12 January.
He advised that discussions are carried out within the framework of the Bi-national Commission of both countries.
He noted that many Haitians living in the vicinity of border provinces in the Dominican Republic are already receiving teaching in our country and that the issue is to provide greater integration of Haitian nationals.
