The works costing RD$17 million, are being done in a joint Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) and Playa Dorada Hotel Association move.
The executive director of the Association of Hotels, Condominiums and Commercial Establishments of Playa Dorada, Manuel Finke said that they expect the works to be completed by the Dominican Asphalt Corporation company (CONDA), within 10 days.
Finke indicated that this beautification of streets and other common areas of this complex, “will change the image of this destination that has always been visited by domestic and foreign vacationers.”
Deputy Minister of Tourism based in Puerto Plata, Cesar Jose de los Santos, said “We are contributing to the system and improving the image of the resort of Playa Dorada, to make it much more attractive to tourists who visit to feel more comfortable during their stay in their hotels.”
The work done by CONDA includes paving parking lots of hotels, golf club, access roads to the beach and streets of the resort of Playa Dorada, which has long needed this maintenance.
