Police china kills 2 Tibetans

Between two and five Tibetans had died by gunfire from Chinese police Tuesday on the second day of clashes in a Tibetan region in southwestern China, reported the American station Radio Free Asia (RFA).

Quoting inhabitants of the town of silk (Serthar in Tibetan), RFA pointed out that the Chinese authorities had "killed with bullets up to five Tibetans and severely wounding 40 on Tuesday".

"Became a kind of martial law", said an inhabitant of silk called Ganta, specifying that "Tibetans are hiding in their homes and police open fire on anyone that aventure to take to the streets" to radio. Some 40 people have been arrested, according to the same sources.

At least two dead were identified by local sources added RFA.

The facts would have occurred in the second jor - nothing of confrontations in the Tibetan region of Garzê (Sichuan province, southwest of) u000a(China), where on Monday at least one person was killed and dozens injured in a demonstration not far from the monastery of Drakgo.

Beijing accused Tuesday "separatist foreign groups" of wanting to destabilize the Government stated that Chinese police had fired on a demonstration of unarmed Tibetans.

United States said for its part feel "seriously concerned" about the reports from China that account of frequent violent clashes with fatalities, said the spokesman for the Department of State Victoria Nuland.
