Police evicted protesters blocking step

The German police evicted Sunday thousands of protesters attempting to block a shipment of nuclear waste and temporarily arrested 1,300 people, told the authorities.

Hundreds of police officers began in the morning to expel protesters from tracks train near Dannenberg in the North of the country, reported police spokesman Stefan Kuehm-Stoltz.
