PRD warns no objects to candidates of high courts

Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD) said yesterday that the organization not has objected or challenged any of the applicants to form the high courts, which is interpreted as a discrediting the Commission of Justice of the opposing organization.

In a communication sent on the afternoon of Friday to President Leonel Fernandez and other members of the National Judiciary Council (NJC), the PRD cautions that only the President of that organization, Miguel Vargas; Secretary-General, Orlando Jorge Mera, and Deputy Hugo Núñez, representative of the party before the NJC, are empowered to establish the institutional positions of such political training.

Vargas and Jorge Mera added that "the official positions of the party are expressed by the undersigned and by our representative in the National Council of the judiciary, Congressman Hugo Núñez".
