The father of the parish San Miguel, Fray Santiago Bautista, today suggested that the Navy (MdeG) must be more vigilant before the exit of boats illegal by the coasts of the country, referring to the sinking of an illegal boat early yesterday morning in the Bay of Samana, which were about 65 passengers and so far has left some 16 dead and dozens missing.

The parish priest asked the MdeG begin to identify, pursue and arrest the organizers of the illegal travel.

Also said that the sinking of this vessel is a sample of how is the economic situation in the Dominican Republic.

The Fray expressed, that the sinking of the yola is product of social exclusion and the Dominican peso devaluation, to indicate that many of the people who risk their lives to ride in an illegal boat because they lack entrepreneurial ideas.

"Returned again the yoleros to make their" u000ayou travel, because we have seen how to walk the destinies of the country. "The wounded because of the wreck of the yola are there (hospital), if the Navy to apprehend them only has to go to them" quoted the father.

Fray Santiago Bautista, issued these statements at a press conference, where reported that the Standing Advisory Committee for the separation of the motherland date Carnival and lent, will conduct the next 19 Sunday a "great national day" in order to raise awareness among the authorities and the population that the Carnival to be held separate from the holiday and the Lenten activities.

Pointed out that since this year is leap, the celebrations of Carnival can be Friday February 17th, Saturday 18 and the "big parade" Sunday 19.

"We are not opposed to the Carnival, but demand that order, that there was a"arroz con mango"there is." The activities of the Church can not be together at the u000a"Carnival", indicated the Fray.

Noted that although in the past they have met with the organizers of the parade of Carnival have failed to reach any agreement.
