Dozens of pro-Government militants today began a vigil outside southern Hospital, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, where on Wednesday will be the President of argentina, Cristina Fernández, operated to remove a cancerous tumor of the thyroid gland.

The protesters erected tents and unfurled posters in support of the President of 58 years, who with the operation will begin a leave of 20 days, until January 24, period in which the head of State will be in the hands of the Vice President, Amado Boudou. "

We now have about 70 and with the passing of the hours will be many more", declared a militant movement Eva Perón at the gates of the southern Hospital, one of the most modern of Argentina, located within the grounds of almost four acres of the eponymous University in the city of Pilar, 60 kilometers from Buenos Aires.

Fernández will today receive Boudou and other senior officials of the Government in the presidential residence u000aof olives, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, before placing in the sanatorium to become the last analysis prior to the operation, official sources said.

Today began a campaign of the youth of the ruling Justicialist Party (Peronist) branch that people donate blood in neighbouring public hospitals to the presidential residence in demonstration of social solidarity and support to the head of State. "This campaign was an idea of the youngest as a positive and supportive way of channelling all the support we give to Christina in this very special moment, that it is live," said Lorenzo Beccaria, one of the organizers of this initiative, in a press statement released on Sunday. The campaign was organized by the Peronist youth and La Campora, juvenile branch that leads up to Kirchner, eldest son of Fernandez, with the slogan "solidarity is the tenderness of peoples".

doctors agree that u000aFernandez suffers from one of the types of cancer with better forecasts of healing, so it will be able to fully recover and lead a normal life after the operation, which will be headed by Peter sack, one of the best specialists in the country.
