Propose dialogue on primary health care centres

Viewed 22 times.The Ministry of public health, Bautista Rojas Gomez, judged yesterday that a dialogue between the Government, the administering of health (ARS) risks and private clinics, to seek a consensus on the centers of primary care (CAP) must enter into force in May of next year, as established in law 87-01 on Social Security should take place in the shortest possible time.
Rojas Gomez said that he will make a proposal to the National Council of Social Security (CNSS), in the sense of favour to a dialogue between these three actors, including the Dominican Medical Association (CMD) and the societies specialized to address the issue and come to a final on the problem.
At the same time, the official cautioned that to reach an agreement on the need for the implementation of the CAP, it would be putting at stake the financial sustainability of the system and also would be breaking the law of u000athe Security Social.
Interviewed in the National Palace, the Health Minister ruled out that the implementation of that part of the law causes the collapse of the private clinics, as argued by the representatives of these health centres private.
Rojas Gomez said that the Government agreed to raise the Social Security Council within the necessity that the parties sit at the table of dialogue to end the conflict.
